He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta "Pinky" Mathilda Fernandes; his parents, Diogo Edward Caetano Fernandes (Father) and Agatha Fernandes (Mother); his siblings, Ophelia Bonaventure Fernandes, Boniface John Joseph Fernandes, Bonaparte Julius Fernandes, Ophelia Benedicta Stella Fernandes and Emma Perlasia Fernandes of Bandra; his children, Mary Fernandes of Scarborough, Joseph Fernandes (Sylvie Ranger-Fernandes) of Hastings and Lloyd Fernandes (Leeanne Hughes-Fernandes) of Markham; and his brothers-in-law, Duncan Thompson (Edith) of Dundas, Reginald Thompson (Lorraine) of Brampton and David Thompson of Kingston.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Robert Fernandes, Alexander Fernandes, Sydney Fernandes and Evan Fernandes; and his brother-in-law William Thompson (Patricia) of Scarborough. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Wartman Funeral Home "kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Rd, Kingston, ON K7M5H2). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (1111 Taylor Kidd Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M8G8).
