With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruth Pester (Kingston, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruth left this world on February 17, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Flora MacPhee and Angus MacPhee; her husband Charlie "Goose" Pester; her brother Alec; her children, Paul Robert and Carrie Elizabeth; and her grandmother Ruthie.
She is survived by: her children, Charles (Beverly) and Alison (Ian); her grandchildren, Sarah, Amy, Ali, Bryn (Chris) and Charlie; her great grandchildren, Jack, Wells and Gwen; and her siblings, John and Norma (Kumar). She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. James' Anglican Church (10 Union St, Kingston, ON K7L3J9). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Cataraqui Cemetery (927 Purdy's Mill Rd, Kingston, ON K7M3N1). A reception will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. James' Anglican Church (10 Union St, Kingston, ON K7L3J9).
