He was predeceased by: his siblings, Allan and Margaret Lyons; his parents, Allan Veley and Geneva Cox; and his stepfather Charles Cox.

He is survived by: his children, Kim Veley (Doug Clarkson) and Lori Harris (Richard); his grandfather Ron; his granddaughters, Chelsey Harris and Meghan Harris; his great grandchildren, Michaela Hennigar and Mitchell Hennigar; and his siblings, Reginald Veley and Darlene Walker.
