He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Aubrey Brooks and Maebel Brooks; his spouse Shirley Ann (Scullion); his children, Robert (Debbie), Larry (Lorraine), Patrick (Carole), Cathy Kennelly (Claire), Maureen McGuinness (Kevin) and Mary Wisteard (George); his grandchildren, Melody, Melinda, Billy, Bobby, Bradley, Terry, Shaun, Selena, Sterling, Michelle, Julia, Justin, Bridget, Andrea, Christopher, Michael, Rene and Celine; his siblings, Bessie, Dorothy, Myrtle, Clarence, Philip, Claude, Iva, Danny, Russell, Muriel and Alan; and also, Hilda, Charlie, Milton and Cameron.
