It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Matthew LaRush (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Richard Matthew departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Richard Matthew. Though Richard Matthew may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie and R. J.; his former wife Eileen; and his siblings, Marrett and Paul.

He is survived by: his wife Yanexis Abrue; his children, Rick (Sherry), Lynn (Arnie) and Shelley (Glenn); and his sister Jeanette (Winfield). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
