He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; his children, Jay (Margo) and Susan (Scott Gibbard); his grandchildren, Emma, Kate, Heidi, Grace Wirsig, Sydney, Molly and Max Gibbard; his siblings, Horst, Wally (Roy), Gertie and Sieglinde (John); his siblings-in-law, Ann Wirsig and Douglas McQueen (Mary); and his spouse Jay. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews.
