She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon Sands; her parents, Wilfred Fowler and Gertrude Fowler; and her siblings, Anne Graham, Rose-Marie Fowler and Patrick Fowler.
She is survived by: her children, Angela (Patrick), Lyndon (Dayna), Tracey, Julie (Dave) and Patti (John); her grandchildren, June, Chelsy, Alyssa, Katie, Jessica (Aaron), Jennifer (Jude), James, Samantha (Patrick) and Liam (Jada); and her great grandchildren, Sadie, Chloe and Finnley. She is also survived by nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, or Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
