Martina Maria Carey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martina Maria Carey (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on February 6, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Martina Maria Carey to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Thissen and Martina Thissen; and her siblings, Tineku, Dora, Riesku, Piet, Bert, Henk, Nellie, Riet, Liz, Diny and Johanna.

She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Krista Veenstra (Steve) and Erin Sloboda (Darren); her grandchildren, Jacob, Luke (Noa), Justin Veenstra, Marissa (Andrew) and Matthew Sloboda; and her siblings, Maria De Jong (California), John (Ottawa) and Theo (Whitby). She is also survived by Sister/Brother-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (490 Days Rd, Kingston, ON K7M4R4).
