She was predeceased by: her spouse Clifford Smith; her parents, Harold Dempster and Mabel Dempster; and her siblings-in-law, Anna Charland and Manley Charland.

She is survived by: her children, Margaret, Brian, Carol, Doug, Harry, Charalee and David; her grandchildren, Georgia (Kyle), Ysabella, Reuben and Lydia; and her great grandchild Declan.
