She is survived by: her sisters, Vera Thuro and Gwen Greenlees; and her children, Jim (Nancy), Marlene, Gary, Debbie Sonneveld (Orrie), Allen (Debbie) and Robert (Sue). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association in Lois' memory.
