He was predeceased by: his child Stephen Hammond (Kim); and his sibling Kay Murray (Jim). He is survived by: his spouse Gayle; his children, Brenda Fergus (George), Tim Hammond (Anna) and Tracy Barrett (Bruce); and his siblings, Ruby Grant (late Ernie) and Rose Bowie (Bob). He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations (by cheque please) to Crohn's and Colitis Canada would be appreciated by the family.
