It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Hamalainen (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene Hamalainen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hugo Olavi Hamalainen; and her son Mauri Olavi. She is survived by: her children, Margit Anne Bell and Arja Elisabet Hamalainen; her grandchildren, John Caley, Jeremy, Justin, Rachel and Tessa Bell; and her great grandchildren, Octavia and Max.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Robert J. Reid Funeral Home (309 Johnson St, Kingston, ON K7L1Y6). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cataraqui Cemetery (927 Purdy's Mill Rd, Kingston, ON K7M3N1).
