He was predeceased by: his wife Vreni Gasser; his siblings, Emmy, Alice, Erwin and Elsbeth; his grandson Christopher Simonds; and his parents, Gottfried Blaser and Lina Aeschlimann.

He is survived by: his children, Bernard Blaser and Kathy; his granddaughter Jennifer; his children, Martin Blaser and Anne; his grandchildren, Mark, Andie, Amy (Todd Copeland), Krista Simonds, William, Nicholas, Matthew and David Simonds; and also Archer.
