She was predeceased by : her husband James Hamel; and her son Mark. She is survived by : her children, David (Barbara), Bart, Mary (Dave), Cheryl (Nick) and Lynda (late Ken); and her brother Robert Holt (Aster).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 1:45 PM to 3:45 PM at the James Reid Funeral Home Reception Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3).
