He is survived by: his child Detlef Petersen; his daughter-in-law Kristin Petersen; his grandchildren, Beau, Ashley, Stacey, Curtis, Stephanie and Marisa; his sister Dorothy Gagely; and his wife Joy Petersen. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
