He was predeceased by: his parent John Thistlethwaite. He is survived by: his parent Margaret Thistlethwaite; his siblings, Jane Watson, Ann Homer, Victoria Thistlethwaite-Haynes, John Thistlethwaite and Bill Thistlethwaite; and his son Robert John Gillette. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
