He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Francis O'Brien (Michael) and Christin Dickerson; his grandparents, Everette and Agnes O'Brien; his aunt Leslie O'Brien; and his cousin Connor O'Brien.

He is survived by: his brother Darren (Patricia); his aunts and uncles, Colleen O'Brien, Kathleen (Bob Wilson), Barry O'Brien (Judie Teskey) and Patrick O'Brien; and his cousins, Dylan O'Brien (Summer LaForme), Scott, Natasha Wilson, Lynn Cabral and Laura Wilson.

Donations in Shaun's memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association, would be appreciated by Shaun's family.
