He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Ward and Hilda Ward; his daughter Catherine Ward; his siblings, Ken Ward and Marilyn Cribar; and his brother-in-law Donald Barger.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Ward; his son Neil Ward (Kelly); his grandchildren, Jennifer Bradshaw, Alex Bradshaw (Kristen), Jason Ward (Jessica), Daniel Ward (Katie), Matt Leyden (Erica) and Sarah Leyden (Ben); his great grandchildren, Erika, Belle, Athena, Rowan, Abby and Malik; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Ward and Margret Barger. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Huron Shores Hospice are greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
