She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lambert and Madeline Lambert; and her sisters, Rosemarie Egli (late John) and Beatrice Finucan (John). She is survived by: her husband Larry; her children, Lisa (Doug), David and Katherine (Mike); her grandchildren, Richard (Haley), Elizabeth, Patricia (AJ) and Aidan; her great grandchildren, Theo, Evelyn and Xander; and her siblings, Bert Lambert (Theresa), Margaret Smith (late Fred), Doreen Furst (late Max), Theresa Hanske (late Rudolf), Ernestine Turcotte (late Gerry) and Sylvia Message (late Hugh).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada would be appreciated by Rita's family.
