He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Dittenhoffer and Mary Dittenhoffer; his sisters, Barbara Rasmussen and Gloria Booth; his brother-in-law Allan Hiehn; his nephew Ryan Dittenhoffer; and his parents-in-law, Allan Hiehn and Ida Hiehn-Poth.

He is survived by: his wife Frances; his child Dr. Christian Dittenhoffer (Deanna); his grandson Troy; and his brother Tony (Sandy). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
