She was predeceased by: her brother Jack Campbell; her son Michael; her daughter-in-law Irene Butters; her husbands, Eric Butters and U. K.; and her former husband John Mitchell.

She is survived by: her children, Peggy Bird (David) of Nova Scotia, Catherine O'Brien (Terry) of Kincardine, Stephen Cross (Bonnie) of Stratford, Barbara Cross-Tedesco (Ted) of Media and Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Chris Thomson, Michelle Oros, Chris Butters, Melanie O'Brien, Laura Woods and Peggy O'Brien; and her former husbands, Gilbert Cross and William Whitfield.
