With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Scott in Kincardine, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 23, 2024 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Scott to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Clark and Annie Clark; her stepfather Edward Schaeffer; her sister Elsie Clark; her husband Andrew Scott; her son-in-law Harvey Orr; her son Ronald; and her grandson Matthew.
She is survived by: her daughter Margaret Ann Orr; her daughter-in-law Shirley Scott; her son Robert (Sari); her grandchildren, Peter (Lynn), Doug Orr (Melanie), Rick Orr, Andrew Scott, Todd Scott, Blake Scott, Craig (Alisha) and Ryan Scott; and her close friend Lois Craig. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and multiple step-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home (757 Princes St, Kincardine, ON N2Z1Z5). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. Jean moved in with her daughter during COVID before making a final move to Tiverton Park Manor in 2023 to enjoy being totally waited on by the helpful staff who cared for her there.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested for Chalmers Community Church (Concession 7, Kincardine), Huron Shores Hospice, (Tiverton) or a charity of your choice.
