She was predeceased by: her husband John Byers Stephens; her parents, Harry Mayhew and Emily Mayhew; her siblings, Wellington, Denzil, Melvin, Emile, Gertrude (Claude Lemay) and Doris; and her granddaughters, Cherie and Nadia.

She is survived by: her half-brother Brian Mayhew; her son Ron Stephens (Ardis Nicholson); her grandchildren, Blaine Farrell (Kristen Plouffe), Blair Farrell (Bronwyn), Alysia (Keith Foulds), Amanda Riggin, Leahanne Mackay, Kristen (Jamie Brown) and Jamie McDonald (Robin); her great grandchildren, Adele, Maddax of Miyah, J. J, Emma, Kara, Chloe, Julia, Hailey, Alexis, William, Brayden and Kai; her pet Sophie; and also, Donna Coughlan (Paul Zelickowski), Gail (Brian MacKay) and Karen (Greg McDonald).

In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Lighthouse Fellowship Baptist Church.
