It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Sarah Walpole (Kincardine, Ontario), who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Glenn Campbell Walpole; her parents, William Edward Fitzgerald and Sarah Fitzgerald; and her siblings, Ethel'Iolene'Bradley, William'Bill'James Fitzgerald, Levi Edward Fitzgerald and Orville Marwood Fitzgerald.
She is survived by: her children, Franklin Edward Walpole (Deborah) and Glenda Iolene Walpole-Szabo (Joseph); her grandchildren, Matthew Eldon Walpole (Colleen), Brent Levi Walpole Szabo (Lesley), Alyssa Margaret Walpole and Sarah Margaret Walpole Szabo; and her great grandchildren, Eleanor, Iris and Henry.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home (757 Princes St, Kincardine, ON N2Z1Z5). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. She sang at, and attended, many jamborees until Covid.
Memorial donations may be made to the Huron Shores Hospice, the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band or a charity of your choice.
