He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Welk and Hazel Welk of Rockingham, Ontario.. He is survived by: his close friend Gladys McClement (Valinda Helm); his grandchildren, Mavric, Cash, Parker, Ada Welk, Russell, Mitchell and Annabell Hartwick; his daughter Venessa McClement (Shawn); his grandchildren, Josh, Alexis and Alana; his siblings, Floyd Welk (Elaine), Lorraine Mayer (Miles) and Delwin Welk (Valerie); his nieces and nephews, Traci Cybulski (Darren), Deanna Freimark (Justin), Corbin Mayer, Abby Gourley (Luke), Laurel Welk and Dawson Welk; and also, Donaven Welk (Amanda) and Donita Hartwick (Terry). He is also survived by his extended family, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Evangelical Missionary Church or St. Francis Memorial Hospital Foundation. Donations are being accepted for: Grace Evangelical Missionary Church St Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation (ST. FRANCIS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOUNDATION).
