He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Welk; his parents, Walter Welk and Grace Kelly; his stepfather Daniel Kelly; his sister Marion McNamara; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Boldt and Joseph McNamara.
He is survived by: his close friend Marion Wisotzki; his daughters, Suzie and Lori Welk (Scott); his grandchildren, Cole Fitzgerald, Ty Ott, Nicholas, Mia Richard and Madelene Wheaton; and his sister Patricia Boldt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
