He was predeceased by: his father Adam; his sisters, Madeline (Gayle) and Meta (Wilmer); and his great grandchild Ebony Dubé. He is survived by: his wife Edwina; his children, Scott (Rickie), Bruce (Kathy), Eric (Robyn) and Lorna (Edward); his grandchildren, Micheal, Christopher, Adam and Brittany (Mathieu); his stepgrandchildren, Justin Byers (Tara) and Jesse Byers (Jessica); his stepgreat-grandson Wesley Byers; and his brother Herbert (Lila).
