He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley Doris Batty; his parents, Joseph Batty and Dorothy Batty; his brother Trevor Batty; his son-in-law Roderick Barr; his daughters, Beverly (Gord Cousineau), Helena Barr, Janette Batty, Nichola (Brian Stankiewicz), Christina (David Mintz) and Vanessa (John MacDonald); and his sister Maureen Goodwin. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
