He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha; and his siblings, Rein, Kaatje, Harry, Sietze, Johannes, Rinke and Eddie.
He is survived by: his children, Betty, Michael (Donna) and Cynthia (late Ron); his grandchildren, April (Andrew) and Devin; his siblings, Cobus, Durk and Hannie; and his sisters-in-law, Doris Lee and Pearl Craig.
