Teresa was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on April 30, 1946, and moved to Kenora with her parents at a young age. Growing up on Rabbit Lake, she spent a lot of time outdoors and on the lake with family and friends. Teresa worked at Lindstrom and Nilson hardware store for many years and later moved to Beaver Lumber. She made many friends at both jobs and was respected by both co-workers and the customers she served.
Teresa met Charlie while working at Beaver Lumber, and after three visits to buy items he didn't need, Charlie finally had the courage to ask her out. On July 2, 1994, Teresa married the love of her life, and her family grew immensely. Teresa and Charlie spent 20 wonderful years together. They had many adventures flying in Charlie's plane up north to go fishing and hunting in the fall, camping and road trips with the fifth wheel to British Columbia and Alaska. Teresa and Charlie also spent many winters in Florida and later in Arizona.
After Charlie died, she filled her time playing cards with family and friends. Teresa was an avid bridge player, belonging to many clubs over the years, and loved spending time with her bridge family. She also enjoyed playing Texas Hold'Em; it was never for big money, and though it was competitive, it was never serious, as most of the time was spent eating, laughing until it hurt, and trying to remember who the dealer was and what the anti was. Teresa will be fondly remembered and missed at the card tables.
We want to thank Dr. Noack, Dr. Dooley and the staff at LWDH and Saint Boniface Hospital for their care. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
