He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine Ochapowace Kent (Pat); his parents, Albert Kent and Melanie Kent; his siblings, Robert Kent (Mon), John Kent, James Kent, Joseph Kent, David Kent, William Kent, Mary Starr (Kent) and Rosie Denomme; the mother of his children Rose M. Bombay; and his grandchildren, Jamieson Kent and Natasha Kent-Muckle.

He is survived by: his children, Nadine (Colin), Simon Jr. Walter (Melissa), Gregory (Donna), Vernon (Farrah), Verna (Steve), Leahanne (Bert), Sheila and Patrina; his grandchildren, Melanie, Ryan, Hannah, Ashley, Justine, Haylee, Samurai, Samara and Maurisa; and his great grandchildren, Elayna, Makari, Rayden, Lilianna Ochapowace, Mason, Cora, Marshall, Patience, Kaytience, Braedy and Aryah. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many family and friends.
