She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas and Margaret Thomas; her husband William Silk; and her granddaughter Crystal Abraham. She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Silk, Brenda Silk (Gilles Guenette) and Margaret Silk (Paal Warmbier); her great grandchild River Silk Parsons; and her siblings, Peter Thomas and Rose Winters (Ed Winters). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations to It's a Dog's Life and Kenora Rainy River Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
