He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Ricklefs and Elizabeth Ricklefs (Eliza); his brothers, Walter Ricklefs and Marty Ricklefs (Martin); and his nephew Marcel Lecot.

He is survived by: his children, Corinne Tomasson (Frank), Lawrence Ricklefs Jr. (Christina), Liz Ricklefs (Chris) and Sheri Ricklefs (Jason); his grandchildren, Dylan Ricklefs, Erik Tomasson, Kristin Tomasson, Hunter Ricklefs, Darcy Boucha and Alana Boucha; his sisters, Dorothea Johnson (Larry), Donna Gail Lecot (Albert), Bernice Ricklefs and Yvette Ricklefs; and his cousin Jack Folster (Caren).
