He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother John "Jackie"; his sons, Aaron and Wade; his parents, Ethel Sutherland and Hugh Sutherland; his brother Garry; his son Rod; and his grandchildren, Taija, Terryll, Jordin, Nich, Andrew, Bailey, Zach, Sara and Liam. He was also cherished by his niece, several nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UNICEF, an organization Grant was passionate to support for many years.
