He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leckie and Edith Leckie; his brother Newton Leckie; and his siblings-in-law, John Godkin and Betty Sagi (Doug).

He is survived by: his spouse Donalda; his brother Bruce (Joy); his sister-in-law Edna Godkin; his daughters, Brenda Herdman (Steve), Nancy Bonds (Tim) and Barb Lindquist (Rick); his granddaughters, Chelsea (Gabriel), Jennifer, Stephanie, Michelle (Thor), Christine and Laura of Kyla; and his great grandchild Alden. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
