He was predeceased by: his mother Theresa Olejnikow; his sister Addie McGowan; his brother-in-law Don McGowan; and his father-in-law Leo Desjarlais. He is survived by: his wife Dawn; his pet Stella; his siblings, Benny, Ron Olejnikow and Betty Dube; his mother-in-law Janet Desjarlais; and his siblings-in-law, Cindy Schumacher (Mark), Michelle Francis (Tim), Russell Desjarlais (Mary Lynn) and Darren Desjarlais (Renita). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Dawn thankfully requests that donations be made to either It's A Dog's Life or the Kenora Cat Shelter.
