With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Doreen Hunter (Kenora, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Doreen left this world on December 28, 2024 at the age of 72, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her son Jeff Hunter Sr.; her parents, Bert Greene and Jeanette Greene; her brothers, Jim, Brian and Graham; her aunt Ella Green; her sister Vera Sewell; and her in-laws, Olive Cameron, Dennis Hunter, Alfred Sinclair, Rose Greene, Jessie Jamieson, Florence Cameron, Yolanda Rose Diaz-Lopez, Juliet Cameron, Flora Cameron, Gilbert Hunter and Adolphus Cameron.
She is survived by: her husband Dan Hunter; her children, Marilyn (Ross), Dennis (Katelynn) and Tamara (Brennan); her grandchildren, Zachary, Derek, Shane, Shayla, Jeffrey and Kayleb; and her siblings, Don, Stella, Pat, Jennie, Fraser, Sharon (Victor), Warren, Margaret, Gloria (Gus), Angie and Cindy. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as grand nieces and grand nephews.
A wake was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at the Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (429 2nd St S, Kenora, ON P9N1G7). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the Woods Cemetery.
