It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Crystal Meekis (Kenora, Ontario), who passed away on May 27, 2020, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Hazel Meekis; her brother Michael Meekis; her grandparents, Peggy Kakepetum and Jonah Kakepetum; her uncles, Gary Kakepetum, Leon Kakepetum and Bob Jameson; and her cousin Rain Suggashie.

She is survived by: her father Stanley Meekis; her cousin Roselene Jameson; her niece Briana Cameron; and her close friend Shawn.

Crystal has many family members in Deer Lake, Sandy Lake and Keewaywin, Ontario and are unable to attend her funeral because of the travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus and have sent their condolences.
