He was predeceased by: his former wife Doreen Kelly; his wife Maureen Sauriol; his son Randy Richter; and his parents, Helmut Richter and Edith Richter.

He is survived by: his child Kimberley Dixon (Tim); his granddaughter Kayla Richter (Dylan); and his brothers, Bernd Richter (Kristina) and Wilfried Richter (Laurie).
