It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Elstone (Kemptville, Ontario), born in Haliburton, Ontario, who passed away on October 26, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Elstone and Dora Elstone; and his sister Helen Feir (Creighton). He is survived by: his children, Paull and Nanci Hunter (Jeff); his grandchildren, Alex, Mallory Elstone, Ryan (Sydney) and Nick Hunter (Jaimie); his great grandchildren, Annalee and Kinslee Hunter; his siblings, Mervyn (Dorene) and Judy Rennick (Don); and his wife Mavis Sisson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Interment in the Bishops Mills Cemetery with a private ceremony, observing the COVID constraints.

“When I began my ministry at Bishop's-Oxford Pastoral Charge (The United Church of Canada) in 1975, Ron and Mavis (Anglicans!) along with their children were faithful worshippers. Then we met at Oxford Mills United Church's 100th anniversary service in 1996 and importantly I had a lovely chat with Mavis prior to Ron's passing. Thankful for the good memories of such great church members in my 46-year-long ministry, Mavis, Paul and Nancy. - The Rev. Dr. John T. & Dr. Joyan Mathew”
