Muriel Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Madden and Gladys Madden (Price); and her brothers, Howard Madden (Mary) and Lloyd Madden (Valerie). She is survived by: her husband Preston Gilmer; and her sons, Perry and Roger Gilmer.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Byers Funeral Home (2990 Church St, South Mountain, ON K0E1W0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Heckston United Church (256 S Gower Dr, Kemptville, ON K0G1J0).
