He is survived by: his parents, Darwin Smith and Erika Racine; his significant other Brittany Clayton; his siblings, Chrissy Bernhardt (Paul), Heather Francis, Scott Carson (Sindy), Kerrie Carson, Shane Smith and Stephanie Smith (Sean Knight); and his grandparents, Harry Dusomos, Barbara Dusomos, Ronald Smith and Mary Smith. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family takes comfort in knowing that Chris was able to give the gift of life through organ donation.
