He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Ruth (Benner); his spouse Bebe Gurnett (Murdock); his children, David (Edmonton), Kim (Thunder Bay) and Virginia (Omemee); his grandchildren, Nathanael (Kingston) and Justin (Peterborough); his great grandchild Bexley; his brothers, Roger (Shirley), Bill (Barbara), Jack (Margaret) and Tom; and also Brian Gurnett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

I knew your dad at first as my survey instructor at college but certainly got to know your dad more through attending the Fellowship Baptist Church in Lindsay. Your dad (and mom) were always very kind to us (so long ago) when we were students at Sir Sandford. They were hospitable; even in the midst of raising their own family. I pray that the Lord would bless and comfort you as you grieve.. George Idema”
