He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Joseph Collins and Jean Phyllis Swinson. He is survived by: his wife Susan Leona Collins; his children, Jeffrey David Collins (Eleanor) and Stephanie Jayne Collins of Peterborough; his grandchildren, Stephen Collins (Charlotte) of Peterborough, Amy Collins of Stirling and Jackson Wright of Peterborough; his sister June Benesocky (Collins) of Edmonton; and his little bichon Sailor.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home (33 Peel St, Lindsay, ON K9V3L9). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home Chapel (33 Peel St, Lindsay, ON K9V3L9). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Emily Cemetery (4249 Hwy 7, Omemee, ON K0L2W0).
