He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara; his children, Jonathan Westerbaan (Rebecca), Alberta, Sarah Schmidt (Andrew) and Daniel Westerbaan (Laura); and his grandchildren, Isabella, Joshua, Olivia, Daniel, Peter, Judah, Ivory, Isaac and Isaiah. He was also cherished by his extended family and friends.
