He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Stewart and Laura Stewart; his wife Shirley; his sons, Larry and Tom Stewart; his grandson Dan Burns; and his siblings, Marjorie Carson, Betty Johnson, Ruth Schweda, George and Walt Stewart.

He is survived by: his daughters, Joanne Burns (Dave) and Debbie Hicks (Bruce); his daughters-in-law, Connie (Thayer) and Terry (Lamb); his sister Pat Doughty; and his grandchildren, Jackie Banning (Garth), Meg Burns, Cathy Garbutt (Farrell), Amber Hicks (Stacey), Greg Hicks, Angela Stewart, Gordon Stewart (Erika), Jayson Stewart (Tammy) and Justin Stewart (Tyler). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 3 great great step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated and may be made by cheque through Mackey Funeral Home.
