He was predeceased by: his wife Leila Sutherland; his brother Ed; and his brother-in-law Larry. He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy Riedl (Van), Carol Veenstra (Walter) and Connie Starr (David); his grandchildren, Heather, Steven, Leila Mitchell (Robert), Amanda (Gord Gillespie), Brandon Starr (Bailey) and Natalie Starr; his sister June Hatchard; and his siblings-in-law, Sheila Sutherland, Angie and Keith Robinson.
