She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sutherland and Hilda Sutherland; and her siblings, Elizabeth Nakogee, Joseph Napash, Pauline Stephens, Denise Napash, Joanne Sutherland and Elizabeth Sutherland.
She is survived by: her children, Emmerson Cheechoo and Melissa Cheechoo; her siblings, Gaius Napash, Wilfrid Sutherland, Clarence Sutherland, Ernest Sutherland, Mary-Jane Boudreau, Archie Sutherland and Sam Sutherland; and her grandchildren, Jerome Edward, Kaylee Cheechoo, Shawn Cheechoo, Emmerson Cheechoo Jr., Karla Cheechoo and Katelynne Cheechoo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
