He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie; his parents, Albert and Albertine; and his siblings, Roland, Roger, Raymond, Jeanne D'Arc, Simonne Bubnick and Lucienne Duguay.

He is survived by: his children, Marcel of Kapuskasing, Lorraine Chartrand-Morin (Gerry) of Huntsville, Ken (Gerry Martel) of London and Nancy Chartrand (Tia Aitken) of Toronto; his grandchildren, Donna (John) and Eric (Chelsea); his great grandchild Arlo; and his sister Louisette Towe (late Jake) of Rodney.
