Laura Ferro Obituary

With profound sorrow and deep love, we announce the passing of Laura Ferro on December 30th, 2024, at the age of 46. Laura will be forever cherished by her children, Adrien and William Dazé and their father Joël Dazé; her parents, Tony and Gisele Ferro; her siblings, Lisa Cazabon (Eric), (late Pierre, 2017), the late Terry Ferro (1981), and Linda Ferro Chartrand (Shawn); as well as her nieces and nephew: Vanessa Cazabon (Quinten), the late Ryan Cazabon (2024), Giulia and Sofia Chartrand. Laura is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. A proud graduate of College Boreal in Sudbury, Laura dedicated over 25 years to working in group homes, schools, and hospital settings as a child and youth counsellor, with the majority of her career spent at the Royal Ottawa Hospital. Her compassionate nature and dedication to others left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Laura's kindness and caring spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. She had a deep love for animals, especially cats and dogs, and an enduring passion for 80s and 90s music, which brought her joy throughout her life. A memorial service to honour Laura's life will be held at Kelly Funeral Home - Kanata Chapel, 580 Eagleson Road, at 10:00 on Sunday, January 12th, 2025. with a service in the Chapel to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura's memory can be made to the Ottawa Humane Society, a cause close to her heart, The Royal Ottawa Hospital or a charity of choice.
